Free IG comments, written for the post in front of you
This tool gives you free comment ideas, not free comments. It writes six options based on the caption you paste. It doesn't send anything to Instagram, doesn't connect to your account, and doesn't trade or sell engagement.
If you searched for free IG comments hoping to get more comments on your own posts, here's the honest version: buying or swapping comments breaks Meta's spam rules, which cover selling, buying or exchanging engagement. The comments that actually grow an account come from you showing up in other people's comment sections with something worth reading, and answering everyone who comments on yours. That's the part this generator speeds up.
Instagram comment types it can write
Pick the tone that matches what you want the comment to do.
Reels comments
Reels comments are read fast. Choose Funny or Supportive, turn emojis on, and keep the shortest option. Mention the moment you're reacting to, like the transition or the last line, so it doesn't read as generic.
Carousel comments
Carousels reward people who swipe. A comment that names a slide ("slide 3 is the one I needed") tells the author you read it and nudges others to swipe back. Paste the caption and add the slide detail in "Your angle".
Replies on your own posts
Paste a follower's comment and generate replies. Answering comments keeps the conversation going under your post and shows new visitors that you're active.
Brand and customer replies
For a business account, the Thoughtful and Expert tones write calm, specific replies to questions, compliments and complaints. Always add the real answer (price, shipping time, a fix) in "Your angle" so the reply is useful, not just polite.
Comments for creators you admire
Want a creator in your niche to notice you? Skip the flattery. A Curious question about their process or an Expert tip that builds on their post gets replies far more often than "you're so inspiring".
Make it sound like you
Generated comments are drafts. Thirty seconds of editing makes them yours:
- Change one detail to something you noticed yourself.
- Use emoji next to words, not instead of them.
- Keep it short. On a phone, two lines is already a long comment.
- Tag someone only when the post is genuinely relevant to them.
- Leave hashtags out of comments. Instagram allows up to 5 hashtags on a post, and a comment that pushes a post past that won't post (Instagram Help).
- Write the way you text. If you'd never say "truly insightful", cut it.
What Instagram treats as spam
Meta's spam rules apply to Instagram and cover posting or engaging at very high frequency, whether by hand or with automation. Meta also says it may restrict accounts acting at lower frequencies when there are other signs of spam, such as posting repetitive content. In practice:
- Don't paste the same comment on many posts, even if each one is "nice".
- Don't use bots, pods or apps that comment for you.
- Don't drop links or "check my page" in other people's comments.
- Don't comment in bursts of dozens in a few minutes.
Meta says it may restrict accounts that behave this way. One thoughtful comment a day does more for you than a hundred copied ones.
Who uses it
- Creators replying to a flood of comments after a Reel takes off.
- Small brands answering customer questions and compliments.
- Community managers who comment from client accounts and need to match each brand's voice.
- People who write in English as a second language and want a natural first draft.
- Anyone building an account who wants to engage more but runs out of words.
Keep your own posts going out on schedule
Comments bring people to your profile. What they find there is your posts. ViralFarm schedules Instagram feed posts, carousels, Reels, Stories and trial reels, along with TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook, YouTube and X.
It can also make the posts. Give it a link, a topic or some text, and its AI builds Instagram carousels on templates modeled after posts that went viral. Adjust the slides in the editor and drop them into your queue.
Frequently asked questions
Are the IG comments really free?
Yes. The comment ideas are free to generate on this page with no sign-up, within a daily limit per visitor. The tool writes text only; it does not post comments or send engagement to any account.
Will Instagram flag my account for using AI comments?
Instagram acts on spam behavior: very high-frequency activity, repeated text, and bought or traded engagement. A specific comment you edited and posted yourself is a normal comment. Pasting generated text in bulk is what gets accounts limited.
Does it work for Reels, carousels and single photos?
Yes. Paste the caption of any post. For a Reel or carousel, add the detail you are reacting to, like a slide number or a moment in the video, in "Your angle".
Can I use it to reply to comments on my posts?
Yes. Paste the comment you received instead of a caption. If they asked something, put the answer in "Your angle" so each reply includes it.
Can this tool get me more comments on my posts?
Not directly, and nothing honest can. It helps you leave better comments on other people's posts and answer your own commenters, which is how real comment activity grows. Paid or swapped comments break Meta's spam rules.
Should I use emojis in Instagram comments?
Usually yes, in moderation. Use the emoji switch to include a few. An emoji works best next to a specific observation, not as the whole comment.
