What this Pinterest logo maker makes

This tool makes a profile logo for your own Pinterest account: a simple badge or monogram with your text on it. It is not the Pinterest logo, and it does not give you a copy of Pinterest's badge.

You type up to 12 characters, usually initials or a short brand name, and the tool places them on a shape in your colors:

  • Shapes: circle, rounded square, ring (an inner outline in an accent color) or split (two colors side by side).
  • Colors: eight palettes, including Classic red, Midnight, Sage, Ocean and Mono.
  • Fonts: bold sans, serif, rounded or mono. Longer text shrinks automatically to fit the shape.
  • Sizes: a 600×600 profile picture, a 1080×1080 square logo, a 1000×1500 Pin or board cover, and a 1600×900 profile cover.

Everything is drawn in your browser and saved as a PNG, with no watermark. The Classic red palette uses #E60023, the color listed as "pushpin" red in Pinterest's Gestalt design tokens. It suits a Pinterest profile, but don't type a lone "P" on a red circle: that imitates Pinterest's badge, one of Pinterest's own marks (see the official logo section below).

Design a Pinterest profile logo that reads at small sizes

Pinterest shows your profile picture as a small circle on your profile and next to your Pins. At that size, simple wins.

  • Use one to three characters. Initials or a short brand word stay readable when the circle is tiny.
  • Pick strong contrast. Dark on light or light on dark. Two similar shades turn to mush on a phone.
  • Keep everything inside the circle. A square picture is shown as a circle, so the corners disappear. The Circle and Ring shapes already match that crop.
  • Match your other profiles. The same mark on Instagram, TikTok and your website makes you easier to recognize.

Which size to use on Pinterest

  • Profile picture (600×600): Pinterest's Edit your profile help page explains how to upload one but doesn't list a pixel size. A 600×600 square stays sharp on high-density screens.
  • Profile cover (1600×900): business accounts can add a profile cover. Pinterest asks for at least 800×450 pixels and recommends a horizontal 16:9 image (Pinterest Help). The 1600×900 preset meets both.
  • Pin or board cover (1000×1500): Pinterest recommends a 2:3 ratio, or 1000×1500 pixels, for standard image Pins (Pinterest Help). A board cover is the largest image shown for a board on your profile, and you change it under Edit board on desktop or iOS (Pinterest Help). Keep your logo centered in case the cover is cropped.

Who makes a Pinterest profile logo here

  • Bloggers who need a profile picture that matches their site's colors.
  • Etsy and online shop owners setting up a Pinterest business account for their products.
  • Creators who want a consistent mark across Pinterest, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Small businesses that don't have a designer yet and need something clean today.
  • Anyone running several boards who wants matching covers that look like one brand.

About the official Pinterest logo (not made here)

This tool does not make, copy or provide the official Pinterest logo. If you want to show Pinterest's own logo, for example a "Follow on Pinterest" button on your website, you need to follow Pinterest's brand guidelines. In short:

  • The official logo is a white script "P" inside a red circle, called the Pinterest badge. It may also appear in black or white where color is limited.
  • Use only the badge, not the Pinterest wordmark, and always pair it with a call to action such as "Follow on Pinterest" or "Find us on Pinterest".
  • Don't alter the badge: no outlines, filters or effects, no color changes, and don't take the P out of the circle.
  • Don't suggest that Pinterest sponsors your promotions or is formally affiliated with you.
  • If you build an app, website or service designed to be used with Pinterest, don't use "Pin", "Pinterest" or variations of Pinterest in its name or domain, and don't use Pinterest's marks, logos or similar variations as part of its logo or branding.
  • Use "save" rather than "Pin" as a verb.

Rules like these are why your Pinterest profile is better off with a mark of its own. That's the only thing the maker above produces.

Put your new logo to work on Pinterest

A logo makes your profile look finished. Pins are what bring people to it. ViralFarm generates Pinterest pins with AI from a link, a topic or pasted text, on templates modeled after posts that went viral. Set your brand colors and fonts in the editor, so your pins match the logo you just made, then schedule them to Pinterest alongside TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, Facebook, YouTube and X.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool make the official Pinterest logo?

No. It makes a profile logo for your own Pinterest account from your initials or a short name. It does not provide or copy the Pinterest badge. To show Pinterest's own logo on your website or packaging, follow Pinterest's brand guidelines.

What exactly does the Pinterest logo maker create?

A PNG with up to 12 characters of your text on a circle, rounded square, ring or split shape, in one of eight color palettes and four fonts. You pick the size: a 600×600 profile picture, a 1080×1080 square logo, a 1000×1500 Pin or board cover, or a 1600×900 profile cover.

What size should my Pinterest profile picture be?

Square. Pinterest's Help Center does not list a pixel size, and the picture shows as a small circle. The 600×600 PNG from this tool stays sharp on phones and desktops.

Does the generator make a transparent PNG?

For the square sizes, yes: the area outside your shape is transparent. The 2:3 Pin and 16:9 profile cover sizes have a solid background color so they fill the frame.

Can I make my logo look like the Pinterest badge?

No. Pinterest's brand guidelines say not to alter its badge, and they tell apps and services built for Pinterest not to use its marks, logos or similar variations in their own branding. Use your own initials or name, and avoid a single white P on a red circle.

Can I use it to make a Pinterest profile cover?

Yes, if you have a business account. Pick the 1600×900 size. Pinterest asks for profile covers of at least 800×450 pixels in a horizontal 16:9 shape, and the 1600×900 PNG meets both.

Can I use the logo I make here for my business?

Yes. You type the text and choose the colors and shape, and we do not claim any rights to what you download. Keep it clear of Pinterest's marks, and if you plan to register it as a trademark, check with a professional first.
